Lahore Plans for Artificial Rain to Fight Smog
According to the latest news, Lahore is planning to bring artificial rain to combat smog as per the Punjab government’s proposal. This step will help reduce the worst situation in the city. According to the data collected in the latest report, Lahore is surrounded by smog, causing air pollution. The city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) has reached unbearable levels, making it one of the most polluted cities in the world. Additionally, the Meteorological Department predicted that there is no possibility of natural rain falling in the city within the next 24 hours.

As the situation in Lahore worsened, schools across the province were closed as part of efforts to combat smog. Mohsin Naqvi, the Caretaker Prime Minister, made the announcement. Lahore consistently ranks in the top three cities for smog and pollution.
The decision to close educational and administrative institutions was taken under the direction of CM Mohsin Naqvi in a meeting with the provincial Cabinet Committee on Smog. The artificial rain is expected to help ease the situation in Lahore and make people’s lives easier.
