Punjab CM ( Usman Buzdar ) on 11th January (Tuesday ) ordered the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to complete a feasibility study of the electric tram project on Canal Road.

As per the news, Mr. Buzdar has directed that the design of the project should be completed as a top priority for construction to start soon. He also said that the project is very important to Lahore's development. The project will help reduce traffic jams on Canal Road as the trams will be 'Pakistan's first electric tram system'.
He said that the development of the project will begin soon. LDA Director General (DG) Mr. Ahmad Aziz Tarar, Vice President (VC) Naeem-ul-Haq and more, also attended the meeting.
