As per the news reports, the FWO (Frontier Works Organization)has updated various development projects across the country, including a low-cost housing project near Punjab. A project started with the collaboration of the NLC (National Logistic Cell ), which provides housing in ten locations across Lahore.
As per the FWO, the construction of the 3.5 Marla low-cost housing project on Raiwind Road is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed within the given time. As per the latest update, the block masonry of the house is in progress and the building protection and cladding are also under construction.

Additionally, as part of the Naya Pakistan Housing Program, the Punjab government plans to increase the peri-urban housing project to 135 sites in 35 districts across the province. Punjab Board of Revenue will supply land for this project. It consists of a completed project.

Each peri-urban housing development will have more than 100 residential properties. FWO recently won a contract for Rawalpindi Ring Road worth PKR 22.8 billion. The flagship project has been around for some time and is expected to be completed in two years. The FWO was able to close the contract by offering PKR 300 million, which was much lower than the price offered. The FWO also laid the groundwork for an overhead water tank project.
